How to Get Started

Would your local volunteer group or service club like to organize a Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days event? The CNSF can help you get started and support you in a variety of ways.

Police Participation

In order to qualify as a “Kids and Cops” event, you will need to have law enforcement involvement. We assist you in connecting with your local police service or conservation officer to gain their participation.

Prizes and Promotional Support

The Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association will supply your event with enough prizes for every child that participates. There is no charge to event organizers for these items.

Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days on-site signage can also be supplied.

To help your event get noticed by local media, promotional support is available in the form of a template press release. We can also assist with social medial posts, and we can contact local media outlets on your behalf.

You will find that many local businesses will be keen to support your event with products, services or possibly a cash donation to help lower expenses. Reaching out to potential community partners is definitely worth the time and effort and makes your event a true community endeavor.
