A startling discovery in Lake Erie, just west of Point Pelee.
The Ministry of Natural Resources confirms an Asian carp was caught by a commercial fisherman in a net around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
It was a Grass carp, a member of the Asian carp family.
MNR Spokesperson Jolanta Kowalski tells CTV Windsor the invasive species measured 94.5 centimetres in length and weighed just over 10 kilograms.
